Why Only Events?

Every year, the New Zealand business of international multi-beverage company Foster's holds a three-day sales and marketing conference. It's the company's annual opportunity to introduce new products and marketing initiatives to its sales and marketing teams – and that means going all out to impress! After all, how can you really promote something unless you're enthusiastic about it in the first place?
With proven experience in delivering events with a difference, Only Events was Foster's' organiser of choice for four conferences from 2008 to 2012 – managing everything from the venue and accommodation to presentations, lighting, functions and entertainment.

Meeting the challenge

In 2008, Only Events chose Auckland's Langham Hotel for the accommodation and conference venue, and Auckland Town Hall's concert chambers for the main event - an exhilarating theatrical mix of catwalk fashion shows, comedy acts and full stage productions through which brand managers showcased their wares for the upcoming year. On the final night, the whole Foster's team partied in style at a gala awards dinner at the Maritime Room, a fitting finale to an event that injected the marketing into marketing!
Commissioned to organise the 2009 conference, we chose a different venue – the SkyCity Hotel, located in the heart of Auckland city. This time we had a new challenge: to create effective 'breakout' meeting rooms for each Foster's category: NZ Wine, Sparkling Wine, Australian Wine, Beer and Cider. Working with each brand manager, we created five uniquely themed environments, then brought the whole team together for activities such as 'Mission Impossible' and a glamorous awards dinner at the floating pavilion.

Delivering the results

This event is one of the most significant of our year, and we like to make it a memorable one. Only Events consistently delivers the goods, coordinating a huge number of people to create a single, integrated event which, on the day, goes without a hitch. The team loves it!
